S. O. S!
Today the bakery was closed! So we all waited for Kate to take us to the big mall in Chaweng. We had found out it was called Central Festival. But I’ll call it CF for short. On the way there we saw a bird singing contest. We saw a big crowd crowded round the eager competitors and who wouldn’t be. The winner would earn at least 50,000 baht! Dad and I thought whoever wins would be a lucky man but secretly Dad and I were rooting for a little red bird. His voice was as high as a giggling sea monkey.
Soon we had stopped at CF. Before we went for Brunch though we went for a quick look around CF. It was amazing we hadn’t had a grand tour last time as we had hurriedly rushed into iBeat and we had hurriedly run out. There were toy shops, clothes shops and many things to catch your eye. After around thirty minutes looking we finally settled down to have brunch.
We decided to venture to the place we had been previously, The Kitchen, we really liked it there. Dad and I yet again shared Pad Thai. It was a bit too spicy for me, but hey, it was still AWESOME!!! Ian and Jani had meat stuck on a stick even the thought of it made me retch. I had just enough stomach to eat some meat last night. Still it was the best brunch ever (well, the only brunch I’ve ever had). We soon grew weary of the big lights and busy streets in Chaweng and headed home.
Dad and I went swimming again as we loved the water, while we waited for our taxi driver from Choeng Mon as he was going to pick us up early as we were meeting Jill at her hotel for dinner. Soon he arrived and we learned that his name was Liam. Jill was there to greet us at the hotel. She showed us the way to her restaurant. It was also near the beach. After we had ordered our food and drinks we went rushing excitedly onto the sand.
There was also a little play area on the beach, Eeeeek! So Dad and I and the rest of us little ‘uns went playing for a while. Soon we were called to the table. Dad and I had prawns in chilli paste. Jill had tiger prawns and happily gave us one. While we were eating we noticed the Big Buddha lit up by a thousand lights as if it was having a tremendous party lit up in all its finery. The sea looked beautiful as the last rays of the sun shimmered and shone brightly. Good night, Koh Samui.
