Kidsunlimited Didsbury Going on a Bear Hunt

Today the pre-school children had a discussion about their favourite book and we decided it was Going on a Bear Hunt. The children had a discussion referring to the book and used language which is used within the story.

When playing outside they re-enacted the story and went on their very own bear hunt! They collected wood, made trays of thick oozy mud, long wavy grass and we even had a swirling whirling snowstorm.

After searching the play area, battling the elements and walking through lots of obstructions, we found 2 bears hiding in a cave!

When returning to the classroom we re-read the story and discussed the adventure we had outside searching for the bear.
