The Going to Bed Book
Today the Children (toddlers age 1 & 2) had a wonderful reading experience during circle time. We read the story with the children using interactive props and actions. As we read the story, we named all of the animals that feature in the story.
As the animals were exercising before bed, all of the children jumped up and pretended they were the animals. We also talked about having a bubble bath before bed and one of the children shouted “SCRUB, SCRUB, SCRUB”, which is also a line from that part of the story.
We pretended to brush our teeth and then lie down to go to sleep. We turned down the lights and some of the children rocked from side to side. Another child aged 2 said “rock, rock, sleep”
Another great story enjoyed by all of the children in Toddler One.
